It is believed that meditating on the Medicine Buddha can help reduce physical and mental illness and suffering.

According to Tibetan tradition, the existence of singing bowls dates back to the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni (560-480 BC). The tradition was brought from India to Tibet in the 8th century AD.

The bowls produce sounds that invoke a state of relaxation, which naturally aids entry into meditation.

This bowl was handmade in Nepal by traditional artisans.
