Tibetan singing bowl set - 5 Buddhas

The number five has extraordinary significance in almost all Buddhist traditions. It relates to colors, the five senses, the five wisdoms, the five elements.

According to Tibetan tradition, the existence of singing bowls dates back to the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni (560-480 BC). The tradition was brought to Tibet from India in the 8th century AD.

Singing bowls produce sounds that invoke a state of relaxation, which naturally helps to enter meditation.

These bowls were handmade in Nepal by traditional craftsmen.
