When Spanish monks discovered the cleansing and healing properties of Palo Santo wood, they named the tree “palo santo,” which means “holy wood.” While some cleansing herbs are used solely to cleanse a space of negative energy, others are used to attract positive energy. Palo Santo is rare because it does both at the same time. Through the burning process, the sacred wood releases oils that cleanse the space and the people it comes into contact with.
